I had the honor of photographing this beautiful family again. They have such great kids! They're very well behaved and super sweet! Not only that, they're a dream to photograph 'cause they're so photogenic and adorable! Their 4 year old twin girls were SO fun and cute. What a fun age! I see what I have to look forward to when my twin boys turn 4. Every day is an adventure, it's awesome!

The last few photos are kind of a tradition - I always end my sessions with something sugar sweet like suckers. The kids LOVE it, and I find it's just fun to do. As you can see, we had fun with a sucker shot. I also love to end my sessions with the family walking away hand in hand. These are captures that should put a smile on your face. 1 Year Old Full of Big Smiles!

You may recognise this little guy. I shot his newborn, six month, and now his one year photos! Although a lot has changed since he was born - he has more hair, he's grown bigger and taller, but a few things remain the same - he's still as handsome as can be and still has that sweet and contagious smile! Watch out mom and dad, the girls will be breaking down your door someday!! But I'm sure you already knew that! ;-) Not only is he adorable, he has the personality to go right along with it! His big brother was right along for a few shots and what a cutie he is as well as a GREAT help in making his little brother smile and giggle!

Newborn Workshop and One On One Photo Classes

I've had several photographers come to me asking how I pose and work with my newborns. Many have asked if I would do a workshop/class on newborn photography.

So, I'm in the process of arranging a newborn workshop. It will be a GREAT deal for the mother since she won't have a session fee or feel obligated to buy any of the images! It's a way for me to say THANKS for allowing me to use the newborn as a model for the class.

The class is limited to 3-4 people. I want to keep it small so everyone has a good chance to learn a lot and get some hands on posing. The class will last anywhere from 3-4 hours, maybe a little longer if necessary.

If you or someone you know is interested, please let me know. I have 1, possibly 2 more openings and the class is scheduled for the Saturday, the 20th of March. The cost for this workshop for the students is just $50!

I'm also doing offering on one photography classes on Fridays. Cost is just $25 and the sessions last an 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

Hands On Newborn Posing Instruction!

I've had many inquiries regarding how I pose and photograph newborns. Many have also asked if I teach a class on this.

I decided instead of doing a work shop at this time, that I'd allow one person to join me on newborn sessions to learn all the tricks and tips about newborn posing and photographing them. The session would be approximately 4 hours, and the cost would only be $50! I think in MANY ways this is WAY more beneficial than a work shop which could run an easy $100 - $150 or way more, and you probably wouldn't get as much one on one as you would with this deal! I'll spend a lot of time showing you all the tricks and tips and even allow you to do some hands on posing!

My sweet little guy turned 3 on Saturday and we had sooooo much fun celebrating his special day. Of course I also had lots of fun taking his pictures!

We had fun celebrating at Jungle Jims. It was so great to see his sweet smile the entire day. I knew he was having such a fun time!

Our family had the opportunity to see the Thunderbirds perform. The twins weren't happy with all the noise, so we ended up leaving before it was over. I think the next time the Thunderbirds are here, they'll actually enjoy it.

I simply CANNOT believe the lil' guys are now 9 months old!!! It seems like they were born just a month or two ago! The first year is zooming by faster than a race car on steroids, hahaha! Don't ask me how I came up with that one!

Not So Fun Week

Nope, it's been a HORRIBLE week, in fact.

Everyone in the family, except my 8 year old son has been very sick all week long. I've been in the house 7 days straight. Austin, my 13 year old has to go to the clinic tonight since he's not kicking his illness and is feeling aweful. Everyone else is still sick as well, especially Kolton, but I think in another couple of days things will be MUCH better.

Since the sickies have taken over our house for the last week, I haven't had a chance to take any pictures.

I hope to get started on some Easter sessions when everyone is well again. I have some super fun ideas in mind. :)

Since having the twins, I've had to put my business on the "back burner" for a while. Well, I've missed it terribly, and decided I wanted to get photographing again.

When I had the babies last July, I realised I really wanted to focus my business on newborns, babies, and toddlers. So in a way, I'm starting out fresh again! I'm in the process of portfolio building and I need new clients in order to do so. My problem is I dread advertising, so I usually use word of mouth - that hasn't been real effective 'cause people don't see my work that way.
